Fun and lots of color options!
I never had a tamagotchi growing up, and totally missed out on the original craze back in the day. With these new re-releases though, I decided to pick one up – and oh boy, it’s simple but I love it so much! I picked out the blue colored Amazon exclusive tamagotchi, purely because it comes with a plastic case, while the others do not. And I’m glad I did, as the case does protect the entire unit, and so far has done a great job of protecting it from getting damaged. I’ve dropped this several times, I accidentally stepped on it, and it got rained on a little bit when attached to my bag – so definitely like the case, even if it’s just a plastic clip-on piece. Now for the tamagotchi itself – there is a bit of a learning curve, but after a day I figured it out. The instructions it came with were vague, so googling all my questions really made a difference. The programming on this is almost identical to the originals, it is fairly simple; definitely recommend to anuone new to taking care of a tamagotchi. Now my only complaint is that the device makes these awful and loud beeping noises every time you press a button, BUT you can turn it off by holding the A and C buttons at the same time. The tamagotchi will still make a sound when it needs something, though. I will eventually get another one in a different colors, as I did have a hard time picking out just one as my favorite!

Nostalgia alert!
This is exactly like what I had as a kid. My daughter loves the color and the activities you can do it all day. We were a little confused when it “went to its home planet” the first day we got it but she is getting used to reacting to what it needs and the quality is just so much better than I remember. Instructions are OK but could use some helpful tips!

Finally got it after waiting for so long
I’ve been eyeing this shell for months. Finally got it on sale. Didn’t realize how small and cute this model was until my Tama mail arrived at last. It’s between a Nano and a Connection size-wise and gameplay-wise.The Dreamy shell has a beautiful 90s pastel girl vibe; Sailor Moon, Care Bears, My Little Pony, Lisa Frank type design– brings back fond memories.The gen2 is a very simple Tama that you can take care of at work or school without worry. It’s not very needy and doesn’t die so easily. It makes a sound when it needs you, but nothing overwhelming. Just make sure it’s hunger and happiness don’t deplete fully and your Tama will be OK until it’s their time to go after being an adult for who knows how long. The mini game is simple (it’s a probability game, so no winning or losing for the most part) and each time you play your Tama loses a pound.This model does not have in-game currency (like the Connections, etc) nor a shop.Food and snack are the same from baby to adult stage.Pausing greatly slows the growth of your Tama so be prepared to have a toddler or teen for days if you leave the clock on “Set” as a way to pause the device on busy days.The gameplay functions like that of a Nano except you can check your Tama’s stats in the stats menu: hunger, happiness, age, weight.A collector’s must-have. It brings me comfort when I’m stressed or anxious. Fits in any size pocket and can be clipped to a bag etc.

It’s tiny and the screen is hard to see but that’s okay. It’s cute and there’s a lot of things you can do. The only complaint I have is that it is very very loud. You can mute it though so that solves the issue

I love my tamagotchi Angel it’s so adorable first time purchasing this Angel pet always wanted one and I got it. The shell is nicely made. Not sure why people think it’s scratched when it’s not because the picture is the same. The value of money was good price. Playablity Battey life is good fun to play the size is awesome.
