Amazing!! I loved it.
Amazing it was everything i was hoping for! I loved it and once i got a hang of it it was easy to understand even in japanese. My previous knowledge of playing with other tamagotchis helped, all the features are great and fun, the characters are cute and the mini games are super fun! It traces my steps and i like using it as a watch. Now my sister and my boyfriend want one too!

I have mixed feelings about it
I love tamagotchis, i’ve been buying them since the original run. That said, i have very mixed feelings about this release. For the good points, the screen is very detailed for the size. There are a ton of things to do in this one, lots of fun interactions, multiple mini games, generally just a very fun little toy. Then you add the One Piece characters on top of it, and i am very happy to have purchased this. However, it does have quite a few negatives. They’re all small on their own, but added together start to bring down the experience. First off, the battery life is terrible. It uses a USB rechargeable battery, but I’ve needed to charge it 4 times in the 2 weeks I’ve owned it. Also, the screen is a touch screen, and most of the controls are done on it. But it’s somewhat temperamental. poking is fine, but there are lots of swipe motions that it doesn’t pick up very well. Then there is the in game app to buy different foods and toys and stuff which is nice. but you don’t “unlock” them, you buy 1 of them. So when you go to feed your tama you go into the menu, swipe to the second page, go into the app, go into the food section, go into the meal section, select the meal you want, buy it 1 at a time with a max of 3 in inventory, leave the app, watch an animation of it being delivered, open the menu again, go to feeding, go to meal, then feed your tama. But you can only have 3 in inventory, and you need 6 for full food, so you have to do the whole thing over again just to feed your tama once if you want to feed it anything other than the default rice balls. Final complaint, it seems less interactive than previous version, which can be good or bad depending on how much time you have to dedicate to it. Older ones you need to feed it 2 – 3 times a day and play with several times. Occasionally it would act up and need to be disciplined, and various other little interactions. This one just kind of sits there. I feed it full once a day…and then it’s pretty much good. I’ve caught it doing the occasional cute thing, but even with it on me all day, i rarely hear it make any interaction sounds.

Right out of the box, charged it as per instructions..tried everything and charged in my laptop port. Screen black. Never had this issue with any tamagotchi. I even bought the English patch for it and can’t even use it. I’m sooooo bummed!!!!!!! I’ve contacted the seller and Bandai…I was hoping I didn’t have to send to tamagotchi centre for repair and that it would eventually turn on but nothing.
