I love this better then the old one I have it stay one and pet dies but on this one it don’t stay on and I don’t lose my pet I play with one and my brother and my brothers kid play with one she is 5 and she loves it she pick the pink one and she give my brother a blue one I have the purple and green one love them work good

Clear directions, but a lot of different tasks
This digital pet is very to the point, as far as what it needs. It lets you know when it’s hungry, or wants to play, and when it’s tired. You get to choose which animal you want as your pet when you first turn it on. There are preset animals you can choose from. You can’t just pick any animal you want.In my opinion, there’s a lot happening on such a tiny screen, but it doesn’t seem to phase any of the younger kids. So it must just be me. Lol. These pets come attached to keychains. I guess that is so they’re easier to carry, and maybe can be attached to the zipper of a backpack or jacket. These digital pets do make sounds. I haven’t heard any actual animal sounds though. Only the “beep boop beep” of the little computer that powers these tiny digital critters.

Okay you 80’s and 90’s kids…
The 80’s and 90’s was another turning point in technical evolution.And one of the most fun things we saw was the emergence of the Digital pet!And like with a lot of the newer electronic devices that were coming out; the digital pet was a big hit.It’s died out almost to non-existence in almost 25 to 35 years later!BUT It’s coming back and making a SPLASH!!This is a 4 pack of digital pet key chains reminiscent of the originals with all of the upgrades that a few decades affords!!My daughter has already fallen in love with and carried off the pink one that was in the box, but there are 4 all together.A PurpleA PinkA GreenA BlueThey are all pastel colors, and each one comes with an instruction pamphlet.Each one is individually wrapped.They come with batteries already installed and ready to go! Just pull the strip that sits between the battery and the contact that keeps it from running the battery out while it is in transit.Make sure that you, as the parent/adult, reads the instructions pamphlet and help your child learn the ins and out of the digital pet!This is a key chain so it can be attached to your keys, purse, bookbag, beltloop, etc…There is a protective film that covers the screen of each of the digital pets. There is a little blue line on the film so you know it is there. IF YOU ARE HAVING A hard time removing the film; Just get a bit of wrapping, packing, or duct tape and stick it onto the plastic film. Than pull it up!This works for so many film covered items that have a thin plastic film to keep from scratches or other damages while in shipping, or sitting on a shelf.The bodies of the digital pets are so cute!!They are shaped like Easter eggs with a mini antenna on the side!There are 4 tiny buttons on the face of the digital pet.Each digital pet comes with 168 different pets to choose from!!!After selecting the pet you want, setting the time, and giving it a name, then a small pet will appear.You will have to feed it, clean up it’s digital waste, and train it!It’s a lot of fun!!There are other games you can play with your digital pet already loaded as well!These make GREAT party gifts for people of all ages!!I recommend these for everyone that use to have a digital pet, or has kids that they think would enjoy a digital pet!!

Don’t be fooled!
Yes, they work, but the game it comes with makes no sense, is difficult for an adult to figure out, let alone a kid. It’s the kinda thing your kid will like for a little bit, and then toss to the side and never play with it again.There are many characters to choose from, but the gameplay is far less intuitive and has way less features when compared to brand name digital pets such as Tamagotchi or DigiPets.It wouldn’t be so bad if the shape of the game itself wasn’t very blatantly trying to trick parents into thinking they’re buying a cheap official tamagotchi. That’s the part I have a problem with. Kids deserve more than companies trying to take advantage of them in order to sell them trash.

So many choices!
There a ton of different little critters to choose from to raise on these, it was hard to decide which one to start with. The screen isn’t backlit, but the contrast is good enough with the pixels that unless you’re outside on a very sunny day it’s still easy enough to see. They’re durable, colorful and each one is a different color with a different sticker print. The instructions are a bit vague, but the device itself is simple enough to operate that it doesn’t take much effort to figure it out with a little time and patience. Overall a fun little off brand Tamagotchi for kids (and kids at heart) of all ages.

Good novelty item, with one major flaw
We all remember the tamagotchis from back of the day, right? This is basically a much more affordable and much smaller version of our childhood. Unfortunately, the trade-off is noticeable. While this does work as intended, the few flaws lie in the instructions. One thing in particular that stands out, and I think you might find this the most important, is that I have not found a single way to actively turn mine off. It doesn’t say any instructions how to turn it off, and I have not found a combination of buttons that do so. I’ve accidentally reset mine three times now, and have since let the battery die. Note that there is no automatic shut off.The screen itself is very susceptible to sun damage, so please be careful when using this outdoors. Otherwise, the screen is incredibly clear and crisp, nothing is blurred, and everything is easily able to be seen. A bit smaller than we’re used to, but it does function the way it’s supposed to.All in all, a decent recreation of the olden days, but it does noticeably lack.
